Born on October 8, 1985, Simone Bolelli is a professional Italian doubles player ranked No. 6 (career-high) as of January 2025. He advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2024 Canadian Open with Andrea Vavassori, losing to Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos.

Bolelli reached the semifinals of the 2024 Italian Open and the quarterfinals of the 2024 Madrid Open with Vavassori. He emerged victorious at the 2024 China Open with Vavassori, defeating the duo of Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara.

Bolelli finished runner-up at the 2024 and 2025 Australian Open and the 2024 French Open with Vavassori. In the 2025 Australian Open, they faced a defeat against Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara in the final by 7-6, 6-7, 3-6. They won a prize money of around A$440,000 for finishing runner-up.

At the 2024 French Open, Bolelli and Vavassori lost to the team of Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo. He also competed in the singles category and won the bronze medal at the 2005 Mediterranean Games. He led Italy to win the 2023 Davis Cup title against Australia.
