Roman Reigns, originally named Leati Joseph Anoaʻi, is one of the most dominant figures in WWE and professional wrestling. Hailing from Pensacola, Florida, he first stepped into the squared circle as Roman Leakee in August 2010 at Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). However, his rise to prominence began in 2012 with the formation of The Shield alongside Seth Rollins and Jon Moxley (formerly Dean Ambrose).

Following The Shield's disbandment, Reigns transitioned into a singles career and etched his name in WWE history books as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. By capturing every championship in the company, he became the 28th Triple Crown Champion and the ninth Grand Slam Champion. His monumental 1,316-day reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion ranks as the fourth-longest world title reign in WWE history and the longest since 1988. Moreover, Reigns holds the record for the most WrestleMania main events, having headlined the grandest stage of them all nine times.

On January 6, 2025, WWE Raw made its historic premiere on Netflix, headlined by a groundbreaking main event, the first-ever Tribal Combat match. In a high-stakes battle for supremacy, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa went head-to-head to determine the rightful Tribal Chief, the prestigious title that grants the power to lead The Bloodline.

Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa stepped into the ring under Tribal Combat rules, where anything was permitted. The match shifted between the two, with each taking control at different moments. Midway through the clash, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu rushed in, shifting the tide in favor of Sikoa. Their presence caused chaos, putting Reigns in a vulnerable spot. Just as it seemed the match would slip away, Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso arrived, evening the battlefield. Kevin Owens then stormed in, targeting Reigns, only for Cody Rhodes to enter and remove him from the equation.

With outside interference neutralized, Reigns somehow delivered two devastating Spears to Sikoa, securing the pinfall victory and reclaiming his status as the new and only Tribal Chief. As the match concluded, Paul Heyman stepped into the ring, preparing to present Reigns with the Ula-Fala. However, before he could do so, he was interrupted by none other than "The People's Champion," The Rock. The Rock took the Ula-Fala from Heyman and placed it around Reigns’ neck, signifying his acknowledgment of Reigns as the true Tribal Chief.
