
Anthony Edwards is an American professional shooting guard who goes by “Ant” or “Ant-Man.” He plays in the National Basketball Association for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Born on August 5, 2001, Edwards’ journey with basketball began at Therrell High School and continued at the Holy Spirit High School in Atlanta. Being selected for the McDonald's All-American game and Jordan Brand Classic, Edwards was a five-star recruit by the end of his high school career. Transitioning into college basketball, Edwards decided to play at the University of Georgia.
Entering the professional league, Edwards was drafted as the first overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Since then, he has been named an NBA All-Star three times and was selected for the All-NBA Second Team (2024). He was even selected in the 2021 NBA All-Rookie First Team. Further, he also won a gold medal for Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
