Isaiah Hartenstein is a professional basketball center who plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA as of March 2025. The seven-footer grew up in a basketball family, as his father, Florian Hartenstein, played for the University of Oregon. Hartenstein played for the Rockets for two seasons before he was traded to the Denver Nuggets. Hartenstein was on the move and was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in March 2021, then to the Los Angeles Clippers in September 2021, and in July 2022 to the New York Knicks.

After an injury to Mitchell Robinson, Hartenstein took on the starting role for the Knicks in the 2023/24 season. He led the team in offensive rebounds, total rebounds and blocks per game (minimum 60 games played). He also had the second-highest plus-minus for the Knicks (+406) behind only Jalen Brunson. In the 2023/24 season, Hartenstein averaged 7.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, with 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest. He is one of the seven players in the NBA to average more than one steal and block per game (minimum 60 games played). In July 2024, Hartenstein was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder and in his first season, he played a vital role when Chet Holmgren was injured at the start of the season (2024-25).
