Julius Randle is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on November 29, 1994, in Dallas, Texas, Randle had a passion for basketball from a young age.
Early Life
In his early life, he attended Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas where he played high school basketball.
During his high school career at Prestonwood Christian Academy, Julius Randle was considered one of the top players in the country. He averaged 32 points and 22 rebounds per game during his senior year and led his team to three straight state championships. His impressive performances earned him multiple awards including Mr. Basketball USA and Gatorade National Player of the Year.
His NBA Journey
After graduating from high school in 2013, Julius Randle went on to play college basketball at the University of Kentucky. During his one season with the Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team under head coach John Calipari, he helped lead them to the NCAA Championship Game but lost against the UConn Huskies.
Nevertheless, Julius performed excellently throughout that season averaging 15 points and over ten rebounds per game earning him First-Team All-SEC honors.
Following his exceptional freshman year at Kentucky University and being named SEC Freshman of The Year, Randle declared himself eligible for the NBA draft in June 2014 and was selected seventh overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.

Julian Randle's Contract
Julius spent four seasons with Los Angeles Lakers from (2014-2018) before joining New Orleans Pelicans as a free agent signing ahead of the start of the NBA’s off-season trade period in July 2018 where he played alongside fellow NBA superstar Anthony Davis.
