Born on November 29, 1994, in Dallas, Texas, Julius Randle is an American professional basketball player who plays as a Power forward for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA. He attended the University of Kentucky before being selected as the 7th overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2014 NBA draft.
Randle is well known for his strong versatile offensive game who can score both from inside and outside as well as for his playmaking and rebounding ability. He has been named an NBA All-Star twice, in 2021 and 2023, and was named the NBA's Most Improved Player in the 2020-21 NBA season. He led the New York Knicks to the playoffs for the first time in several years in 2021 and then again in 2023. The three-time NBA All-Star and two-time All-NBA power forward now play for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
