Larry Bird is a former American professional basketball player, coach, and business executive in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Bird is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He is most famous for being a member of the Boston Celtics from 1979 to 1992 where he led the Boston Celtics to three NBA championships (1981, 1984, and 1986).

Nicknamed "the Hick from French Lick" and "Larry Legend”, Bird was selected by the Boston Celtics as the sixth overall choice in the 1978 NBA Draft after his sophomore year at Indiana State. He played for the Celtics for the entirety of his professional career. Bird also won the Olympic gold medal in 1992 with “The Dream Team". He is the only person to be named the Rookie of the Year, the Most Valuable Player, the NBA Finals MVP, the All-Star Game MVP, the Coach of the Year, and the Executive of the Year.

Bird sold the mansion in 2019 for $2.3 million.
