Julius Randle was born in Dallas, Texas on November 29, 1994. He was raised by a single mother with one older sister. His mom was also a basketball player at the University of Texas. He played one season of college ball for the Kentucky Wildcats where he averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds, and stood out as one of the best players from Kentucky that year.

Rndle was Drafted 7th Overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2014 NBA Draft. Playing briefly with Kobe Bryant was perhaps one of the best learning moments in his career. Randle shared his appreciation and said he was lucky to come into a situation like that. Fast-forward to 2024, Randle is now a much-improved player for his current team the Minnesota Timberwolves, and his overall contract earnings and lifestyle have come a long way since his debut NBA Season.

With a Millionaire lifestyle comes a good taste in cars. Randle’s very first car purchase was a Porsche Panamera. Down the line in his career, Randle purchased a Black Range Rover and a BMW i8 as well.

Before beginning his Rookie Season with the Lakers, Julius had launched an event called the Julius Randle Cure Cancer Jam at his alma mater the Prestonwood Christian Academy. It was a 3-on-3 Basketball tournament designed to help raise awareness and funds for TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation. In 2023, Julius pledged to donate $500 for every 3-pointer he made during the season. The proceeds would go to the Bronx’s Earl Monroe New Renaissance Basketball School for the reading and math programs. He ended up raising $60,000. During the pandemic, Juluis partnered with Bobby Portis and HelloFresh to donate $180,000 to City Harvest which is New York’s Largest Private Food Bank.

During his time playing in the NBA, Randle has worked with multiple charity foundations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the LA Harbor Boys and Girls Club, Toys for Tots, the Lakes Youth Foundation, and Trees for Threes.
