Kansas Jayhawks Key Games
Kansas Jayhawks are looking in great form for the 2024-25 football season. There are plenty of key games that will exhibit their significant progress this year. From important conferences to rivalry games, every match is expected to have high intensity, each team will have an opportunity to make a statement in the Big 12 Conference. The key games for the Jayhawks are as follows.
Week 1- August 29, 2024- Against Lindenwood
This opening game of the season at Children's Mercy Park will set the pace as the season heads forward. An impactful result will increase their confidence and will provide a clear vision as to where they stand.
Week 2- September 7, 2024 - Against Illinois
The Jayhawks had beaten Illinois in the previous season by a huge margin. They will be aiming to maintain their winning streak but Illinois will be expected to be better prepared compared to last season.
Week 5- September 28, 2024 - Against TCU
A key Big 12 game against TCU becomes an important matchup in embedding Kansas' standing within the conference. The Jayhawks have not beaten them since 2018 and will be aiming to challenge their fates this season.
Week 8- October 26, 2024- Against Kansas State
Kansas State heads into yet another takedown against their in-state rival Kansas Jayhawks holding a vaunted 15-game winning streak. It will still be one of the highly anticipated games in the conference. This rivalry has always delivered some marginal performances. If the Jayhawks have to beat Kansas State, they must stick to this game plan from the start of the season.
Week 11- November 23, 2024- Against Colorado
This game will be crucial in defining the standing for the season. It will likely be a decisive game for both teams as they aim for the playoffs. They will try to replicate their previous season’s win over Colorado.
