The BCCI and IPL Governing Council prepared a set of rules for the IPL 2024 Auction. Here is the list of rules for the IPL 2024 Mini Auction:

1. Each team must spend 75% of their auction purse.

2. The maximum squad size is 25. The minimum is 18. Teams can sign a maximum of 8 overseas players at the auction, while the upper limit on the number of Indian players in an IPL team is 25.

3. There are no right to match (RTM) cards available for the IPL 2024 Auction.

4. Trading window will be open after the auction ends.

IPL 2024 Auction RCB’s Purse Value

RCB entered the auction with a purse value of 23.75 crore. They spent 11.5 crore on Alzarri Joseph, which was almost 50% of their purse value for the auction. RCB surprisingly also bid 20.25 crore for Pat Cummins but failed to sign him.
