The Players Championship in 2004, the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in 2011, and the WGC-Cadillac Championship in 2016 are a few other noteworthy victories.

In the Open Championship 2012 , he finished in second place after leading by four strokes with four holes remaining. However, he bogeyed every hole to lose to Ernie Els by one shot.

Scott and five other players shared the lead after 72 holes at the Wyndham Championship in August 2021. Scott missed a short birdie putt to win the first extra hole, and Kevin Kisner won the playoff on the second hole.
