Brian "The Butcher" Harman is an American professional golfer born on January 19, 1987. He earned the nickname "The Butcher" after his 2023 Open Championship victory when his wife, Kelly Van Slyke, hosted a celebratory party with that theme (via Golf Monthly). He achieved a career-high Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) of No. 8 in August 2023, and as of February 2025, he is ranked No. 37. So far, Harman has five professional wins to his credit.

The Savannah, Georgia native won his first title at the 2003 U.S. Junior Amateur and went on to claim four more titles as an amateur. He played collegiate golf at the University of Georgia and competed in both the Walker Cup and Palmer Cup. After turning professional in 2010, he got his first pro win at the eGolf Professional Tour's Manor Classic in the same year. His first PGA Tour victory came in 2014 at the John Deere Classic, followed by a second at the 2017 Wells Fargo Championship. In 2018, he won the QBE Shootout alongside Patton Kizzire and secured his first Major victory at The Open Championship in 2023. Harman has also represented the United States in team events, playing in the 2023 Ryder Cup and the 2024 Presidents Cup, winning the latter.
