She started her professional life as a Television News Anchor and Reporter at WJAC-TV (1981-1986). Denise later joined WJNO-AM as a Morning Drive News Co-Anchor (1992-1993), as a Television News Anchor, Health Reporter, and Investigative Reporter at WPTV (1986-1999), as a President at Jakows Productions, Inc.
