Both of his parents were golfers, so they introduced him to golf at a very young age. They have been his only swing coaches throughout his whole golf career. Xander Schauffele has credited both of his parents as the biggest influence in his life.

Ping-Yi-Chen is Xander Schauffele's mother and the beloved wife of Stefan Schauffele. She is of Japanese descent and this is why Xander Schauffele developed an interest in Japanese culture. She has also worked as an aerospace engineer, but after retirement she has focused on her son's golf career.

Stefan Schauffele is the father of Xander Schauffele, who is well recognized as a swing coach. From the beginning, Stefan was very interested in various fields of sports. But after losing his left eye in a car accident, he lost all hope of being an athlete. Then he decided to motivate his son to accomplish his dream. His teaching skills and supportive nature to his son make him a very good father.
