Scottie Scheffler is a golfer who was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, United States on June 21, 1996. After turning professional in 2018, he joined the PGA Tour in 2020 and won his first PGA Tour win at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open against Patrick Cantlay in a playoff, which he defended in the following campaign against Nick Taylor by two strokes. He also won the 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, defeating Kevin Kisner.

Out of Scheffler's 10 PGA Tour wins, only the 2022 WGC and 2024 RBC Heritage events are the ones the golfer has won once. He won the rest twice: the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2022 and 2024, the Masters Tournament in 2022 and 2024, the WM Phoenix Open in 2022 and 2023, and the Players Championship in 2023 and 2024. As of May 2025, he is the top-ranked golfer and has held the same position for more than 130 weeks in his career.

Scheffler won the 2022 Masters Tournament, beating Rory McIlroy by three strokes. After his win, Scheffler became the second golfer ever to win four events, including the Masters, at the beginning of the season. Scottie Scheffler won the 2023 Players Championship, defeating Tyrell Hatton by five shots. The triumph was his second win of the season. The next season, he became the first-ever back-to-back winner of the Players Championship in March 2024. In the last round, he overcame a five-shot deficit with an 8-under 64, tying the biggest comeback by a Players Championship victor at TPC Sawgrass. He defeated Wyndham Clark, Brian Harman, and Xander Schauffele by a margin of a single stroke, with a score of 268, under 20.

Scottie Scheffler FedEx Cup Wins

Scottie Scheffler won the 2024 Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup, defeating Collin Morikawa by three strokes, while Sahith Theegala finished in solo third. He won with a huge margin of 30 under. But, it was technically scored 20 under because he began the event at 10 under due to the Tour Championship's Gundersen scoring method, which requires the leader with the most FedEx points to start at 10 under. Scheffler won the winner's share of $25 million and became the second golfer after Tiger Woods to win seven events in a single season.
