American professional golfer Scottie Scheffler was born on June 21, 1996, and competes on the PGA Tour. Having maintained the top spot in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) for over 130 weeks, he initially attained the rank in March 2022. Turning professional in 2018, Scheffler has won a total of 18 professional tournaments, including two early at the Korn Ferry Tour, one Hero World Challenge, and the rest at the PGA Tour, as of April 2025. Notably, he also won at the 2024 Paris Olympics, earning a gold medal for the United States and two Masters Tournaments in 2022 and 2024.

Scheffler has won two major championship wins and two player championships out of his 13 PGA wins. He joined the PGA Tour in 2020 and earned his first PGA Tour win at the 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open, over Patrick Cantely in a playoff. Notably, the next month, he won the World Golf Championship (WGC) event at the 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play and became the world No. 1 golfer in OWGR. Further, in April, he won the 2022 Masters Tournament, defeating Rory McIlroy and earning his first golf major.

Scheffler's success continued in the 2023 season, when he successfully defended his Waste Management Phoenix Open title and won the Players Championship, defeating Nick Taylor and Tyrell Hatton, respectively. For both the 2022 and 2023 seasons, he won the PGA Tour's Money List and Player of the Year awards.

In March 2024, Scheffler successfully defended his Players Championship title, becoming the first in history. Further, he also won at the Masters Tournament for the second time; at the event, he defeated Ludvig Aberg by four strokes. His most recent PGA Tour win was at the 2024 Tour Championship, defeating Collin Morikawa by four strokes. He won his first FedEx Cup and $25 million as the winner's share.
