To give a solid start to Brisbanne’s innings, Redmayne scored 44 runs off 37 balls that included seven boundaries. After losing the first wicket in the opening over, Redmayne and Lauren Winfield-Hill added 66 runs for the second wicket. Later in the inning, Laura Harris took the responsibility of hitting 31 runs off 16 balls (4s-2, 6s-3) to keep the scoreboard running but in doing so Harris fell prey to Sarah Coyte who bowled her. West Indian Hayley Matthews and Sophie Molineux bagged two wickets each while Georgia Wareham and Alice Capsey who bagged wickets at crucial junctures in the game.
In pursuit of 170 runs, Melbourne Renegades collapsed to 71/5 from 51/0 in 5.2 overs. At one point, Brisbane had no answers to Hayley Matthews hitting across the park as she scored 35 runs in just 23 balls, courtesy of 7 boundaries. Her wicket off Grace Parsons first over caused a trickle effect as one wicket led to another in the over with Alice Capsey being the victim. In her very next over, Parsons pinned Deandra Dottin in front of the stumps for a duck. This led to pressure on Renegades’ batters as there were no boundaries for nearly six overs after the 8th over. Moreover, tight fielding caused two run outs of Courtney Webb and Naomi Stalenberg.
Brisbane Heat win two in two, courtesy of stellar performance from Brisbane Heat bowlers. Special mention to Grace Parsons for breaking the back of Renegades top order.

19.6 Nicola Hancock to Sarah Coyte, Brisbane Heat win by 28 runs. On a length a shade outside off, Coyte gets an under edge towards the keeper and takes a single.
19.5 Nicola Hancock to Naomi Stalenberg, WICKET! An unfortunate way for Stalenberg to go but what piece of fielding from the deep Hacks it across the line towards the midwicket region, good pick up and throw and Stalenberg was jogging towards the bowling end and falls just short.
Naomi Stalenberg run out Charli Knott 38 (23b, 4x4, 1x6)
19.4 Nicola Hancock to Naomi Stalenberg, FOUR! A tad shorter on this occasion from Hancock. Stalenberg gets into position early and the top edge flies over the keeper's head and it skips away to the fine leg fence.
19.3 Nicola Hancock to Naomi Stalenberg, SIX! That was right in the slot from Hancock. Stalenberg stands still and swipes it across the line, Harris took the catch but landed on the rope and the umpire signals a six.
19.2 Nicola Hancock to Naomi Stalenberg, yorker-length delivery outside off, Stalenberg tries to slice it over point, gets beaten.
