It turned out to be a good warm-up game for the Indians and they will be back again on Sunday to face Northamptonshire in Northampton. We will bring you the LIVE coverage of that encounter, until then, this is Pragadeesh and Lavil saying goodbye and goodnight
India (151-3, 16.4 overs) beat Derbyshire (150-8, 20 overs) by 7 wickets
That's it. The job was done quite comfortably by DK & co. India didn't get off to a good start as Ruturaj fell very early and Derbyshire bowlers kept things tight in the first four overs. Samson then smashed a few boundaries to keep the scoreboard ticking and he was going along nicely before Mattie McKiernan dismissed him in the 8th over.
Things looked even after Samson's dismissal, but the partnership between Deepak Hooda and Suryakumar Yadav proved to be the game-changer in the middle. The boundaries start to flow and the runs were coming thick and fast. Sky used the pace of the bowlers and played some lovely cuts and sweeps, while Hooda batted sensibly and brought up his half-century.
Derbyshire bowlers had things under control at the start but they bowled too many loose deliveries in the middle overs to make things easy for the Indian batters.
16.4 George Scrimshaw to Suryakumar Yadav, ONE RUN! THERE ARE THE WINNING RUNS! Length delivery going down the legside, Yadav flicks that one off his pads and the ball goes to deep backward square leg for a single to finish off the chase. India win the match by 7 wickets with 20 balls to spare
