Umran Malik is a right-arm fast bowler from India who has played in the limited-overs cricket. He was born in Gujjar Nagar, Jammu & Kashmir, on November 22, 1999. He participated in his maiden T20 match in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on January 18, 2021 representing Jammu & Kashmir. He made his India debut against Ireland in June 2022. He plays cricket for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League and Jammu and Kashmir in the domestic circuit.

Umran Malik Career
Umran Malik was born on November 22, 1999, in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He is a raw pacer and one of India's rising cricket talents. Umran Malik caused a stir during the 13th IPL season by bowling one of the league's fastest deliveries ever. In 2022, during the T20I series against Ireland, he made his debut for India. Later he also made his ODI debut in the same year.
Umran Malik Domestic Career
At the age of seventeen, Umran started his cricket coaching under Randhir Singh Manhas. He went to coaching at the Cricket Coaching Center in the Maulana Azad Stadium. Manhas, who is referred to by his students as "Rajan Sir," recalls that Umran was chosen for the U-19 Jammu & Kashmir Team but was not given many opportunities to play.
Umran has not played any major or national level tournaments in his early days of cricketing career. He was chosen directly as a net bowler for SRH on the advice of former Indian all rounder Irfan Pathan.
Umran Malik IPL Career
Umran Malik was initially selected as a net bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2021. However, after pacer T Natarajan was ruled out due to Covid-19, he secured a full-time contract with SRH. Umran's raw pace attracted the eye of the team management, and he was selected for the 2022 Indian Premier League squad.
When Umran made his IPL 2021 debut against the Kolkata Knight Riders, he bowled a delivery with a speed of 151.03 kmph, which no other Indian bowler had touched before. Later in the season, he beat his own record when he bowled a delivery at 153 kmph against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He recorded a number of deliveries in that same game that were at or above 150 kmph.
On April 27, 2022, during the 2022 Indian Premier League match against the Gujarat Titans, Malik achieved his first-ever five-wicket haul in the IPL and T20 cricket. He also clocked 157 kmph in a IPL 2022 match against Chennai Super Kings at Pune.
2023 was not a fruitful season for the pacer as he was able to record only 5 wickets in the entire season. Umran was retained for INR 4 crore by SRH in the IPL 2024.
Umran Malik International Career
Malik was picked to represent India in the T20 International (T20I) series against South Africa in May 2022. He was added to India's T20I squad shortly after that for the two-match series against Ireland. On June 26, 2022, Malik made his T20 International debut against Ireland.
He later made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the Indian cricket team in a match against New Zealand in November 2022. In that match, he dismissed Devon Conway, his first-ever ODI wicket.
