Craig Ervine (Durban Qalandars Captain): I thought after the first game, if we bowled like we bowled now, we wouldn't have to play this game. Credit to the boys. Brad Evans has developed and learned about a new slower ball and that's what this tournament is about, honing and improving your skills. Different people are standing up and it's not 1 or 2 people winning up. One of the things we need to work on in death bowling, the guys put the last game behind them and bowled really well to win us this game
Brad Evans is the man of the match for his spell of 4/16 in 2 overs
Durban Qalandars win the match by 4 wickets and will play the finals vs Joburg Buffaloes
What a game, it looked in the balance for both sides but in the end, Omarzai's calm head takes them over the line. It was a topsy-turvy chase as Qalandars lost the wicket of their gun batter, Tim Seifert, in the first over. Hazratullah Zazai kept picking up the runs but had no support from the other end as Andre Fletcher was dismissed cheaply and Nich Welch found it tough to blast off from the get-go.
Welch lost his wicket looking to finish it in a hurry but it was Asif Ali who smoked the bowlers before losing his wicket. George Linde played a nothing shot and lost his wicket, but it was the pair of Omarzai and Craig Ervine who saw through these nervy moments and ensured there were no more hiccups as they aimed at finishing this game.
Harare Hurricane bowlers fought hard but couldn't seal the deal for their side. Luke Jongwe and Nandre Burger were clinical with the ball in hand as they picked up a couple of wickets and 4 wickets between themselves. Mohammad Nabi and Tinotenda Maposa picked up a wicket each. Unfortunately for them, they fall just short of the final hurdle and will return home while Durban Qalandars will contest for the silverware in the final tomorrow.
8.4 S Sreesanth to Azmatullah Omarzai, SIX! OMARZAI FINISHES IT OFF IN STYLE! Back of a length delivery on the line of the off stump, Omarzai reads the length early on that one and pulls that one over deep midwicket for a maximum to cap off the chase. Durban Qalandars win by 4 wickets and will play the finals alongside Joburg Buffaloes tomorrow
8.3 S Sreesanth to Azmatullah Omarzai, OOH! Length delivery outside the off stump, Omarzai looked to drive that one away but gets a thick outside edge that goes one bounce to the keeper. No run
8.2 S Sreesanth to Azmatullah Omarzai, length delivery on the line of the middle and the off stump. Omarzai blocks that one back to the bowler
8.1 S Sreesanth to Craig Ervine, length delivery on the line of the off stump. Ervine taps that one towards deep extra cover for a single
Qalandars need only 6 runs in 12 balls. Sreesanth to bowl the penultimate over
