Hello and Welcome to Sportskeeda's coverage for the South group game of the Vitality T20 Blast slated to be played between Glamorgan and Hampshire. It hasn't been the greatest of starts for both teams having won a couple and losing the other two. It's time for them to get into a winning momentum which would help them as the tournament progresses. It will be the pair of Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and Sourabh Agarwal who will take us through everything that transpires during the course of the contest. Toss update and team sheets coming up in a while. Don't go anywhere as we should get started in the next thirty minutes.
The Hampshire bowling attack was taken to the cleaners in the previous game and ended up conceding a massive 241 which was enough for Somerset to post a massive victory. Michael Neser, Chris Wood and John Turner all conceded runs at an alarming rate and that needs to change today if they are to win this game. The likes of Benny Howell will be important with the change ups and was the only bowler in the previous game who conceded runs at just 8 an over. James Vince and Ben McDermott will hold the key at the top of the order and will look to provide a blistering start. The middle and the lower middle order needs to rise to the occasion and help their team get back to winning ways.
Meanwhile Glamorgan suffered a hard fought defeat against Essex in the previous game. The likes of Marnus Labuschagne and Colin Ingram is the two best batters in the team and they will be dependent on the duo to do the job. Both played decent knocks in their previous game with Ingram scoring a half century. Mason Crane and Labuschagne was exceptional with the ball bagging four and three wickets each but didn't get any support from the frontline bowlers. They have to produce a solid all round performance to win this. Can expect a cracker of a contest ofcourse if rain doesn't okay spoilsport which is in the radar.
