That brings us to the end of this encounter of the T20 Blast. Till the next time, this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) biding adieu. Goodnight!
Somerset won by 8 wickets (with 17 deliveries to spare)
Somerset 172/2 in 17.1 overs
Will Smeed 66(36) | Tom Kohler-Cadmore 62*(42) Ruaidhri Smith 2/46(4)
That was a thoroughly professional run chase from Somerset as they made light work of the target of 172 and chased it down with 17 deliveries to spare. The start again proved to be the difference between the two teams. Will Smeed just raced away in the powerplay like he does most of the time He kept finding the boundaries quite consistently and in the company of Tom Banton, looked like taking the game away from Glamorgan within the first few overs.
Banton departed for a low score which has hardly been the case when he has been up against Glamorgan. He was dismissed for 11 but Smeed continue the charge as Somerset went on to score 58 runs in the first 5 overs. The powerplay well and truly belonged to Somerset and it went from strength to strength. Following the departure of Banton, Tom Kohler-Cadmore came out in the middle and stitched together an 84-run stand with Smeed. Both batters looked in exceptional touch but Smeed had to depart on his personal score of 66.
His knock came in just 36 deliveries and was studded with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Cadmore continued the charge after his wicket and the run chase never really went off the hook. Cadmore went on to remain unbeaten on 62 off 42 deliveries which included 5 fours and a couple of sixes. Tom Abell forged an unbeaten 48-run stand with Cadmore to see their side through with 17 deliveries left. Ruaidhri Smith was the only wicket-taker for Glamorgan, bagging a couple.
17.1 Andy Govin to Tom Kohler-Cadmore, that's game set and match for Somserset. Low full toss around middle stump that has been driven away past the mid-on fielder and rolls the strike over.

16.6 Ruaidhri Smith to Tom Abell, FOUR! Short of a length delivery around the off-stump channel, sat up nicely for Abell to pull that away from his presence. Timed beautifully. Just 1 more required for Somerset to win.
16.5 Ruaidhri Smith to Tom Kohler-Cadmore, pulls away the short of a length delivery around middle towards the midwicket region for a single.
16.4 Ruaidhri Smith to Tom Kohler-Cadmore, FOUR! Banged in short by Smith. Cadmore swings it across the line and the thickish outside edge flies past short third man and off to the fence.
16.3 Ruaidhri Smith to Tom Abell, single taken towards the long-on region.
16.2 Ruaidhri Smith to Tom Kohler-Cadmore, flicked away towards the on side for a single.
16.1 Ruaidhri Smith to Tom Kohler-Cadmore, shortish outside off, manages to club that away over the mid-off fielder, didn't quite time that as they return for a brace.
