That's the end of another WPL game and it's looking pear shaped for the Gujarat Giants. Meanwhile the Delhi Capitals have won their 3rd game in the competition and have occupied the top position. The Bangalore leg ends for the two teams as now the drama and excitement shift to the Delhi leg. Like always, it was a pleasure bringing all the live coverage from this encounter. Jess Jonassen (Player of the Match): Fortunately I have come up against these three many time in the nets. I am really happy that it came out tonight. Our whole bowling group came together. Radha Yadav capitalised through the middle. I am a bit surprised to be up here but very happy with the performance. Meg knows me very well and she knows I love the ball in my hand anytime of the game. Over the last of 12-18 months, it wasn't where I wanted it to be. Glad that it's getting back in the direction what I want. You really good value for your shots along the ground. From bowling point of view, you have to find the ideal length and ideal speed.

Meg Lanning (Delhi Capitals captain): We felt about 20 runs short especially with the position we were in. We took it as a challenge to take early wickets and we managed to do that. I was a little bit frustrated for my first 30-35 runs. Sort of felt had good match ups. We lost two quick wickets and in the end, we had to bowl really well. Titas bowled exceptionally well. When there is swing on offer we want to use that and wickets upfront helps. We have to keep winning. It's gonna be very close towards the end regarding the top three. Yeah we have some time to think off. We know how good Mumbai are and it's exciting time for us as we move to Delhi.

Radha Yadav is the now the holder of the Purple Cap: I think it was important bowling into the wicket. The wicket was slower and was stopping on the surface. We knew that the pitch wasn't easy so we were confident that our bowling attack would restrict them. I just want that the crowd in Delhi keeps supporting like the crowd did in Bangalore. It was a crazy crowd. They supported every team every players so it's massive for the women's game in whole.

Beth Mooney (Gujarat Giants Captain)- It's disappointing. We would love to win but didn't work out in our way. We need a big partnership but it doesn't happen. Our bowling has been pretty good. From my perspective, the bowlers have been disciplined but our fielders let us down. We saw how Delhi fielded and we haven't been up to the standards. We have to get off to a good start in T20 Cricket but Delhi bowled really well. We haven't been good enough and I haven't been good enough. Scoring runs from the skipper would really help

It turned out to be another below par showing from the Gujarat Giants as they failed to get anywhere close to the victory target, losing by runs. This was also their 4th defeat on the trot and their destiny in the tournament is more or less settled at this stage. Just like the previous year, things have just gone from bad to worse. In the end, the score of 163 proved to be more than enough.

Openers Beth Mooney and Laura Wolvaardt was greeted with two superb overs by Titas Sadhu and Shikha Pandey. After a maiden from Titas, Shikha bowled a peach to remove Laura Wolvaardt. Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield staged a mini fightback with a flurry of boundaries but the introduction of Jess Jonassen turned the match around from where they could never really recover. Jonassen sent both Mooney and Litchfield packing in her very first over which helped DC seize control of the game.

Veda Krishnamurthy struck a couple of impressive shots before falling to Radha Yadav. The only hope for the Gujarat Giants was Ashleigh Gardner who needed to single handedly take them over the finish line. Gardner struck 5 fours and a six during her knock of 40 which came in 31 deliveries.

It was again Jonassen again enticed her into a big shot and got her wicket in the process. Tanuja Kanwar and Tarannum Pathan tried their best but it was a mountain too steep to climb. In the end, they fell 25 runs short of the target. Delhi Capitals consolidate on their position and back on top of the points table.
