Smriti Mandhana ( Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain): We will like to field first today. I think it was a good week off. We couldn't play how we wanted to play in Bengaluru. We have two changes today. I think we have played some good cricket in patches and hopefully we can play a complete game today. I think we had a good chat about it. We were in a similar position last year, we have to keep the basic stuffs right. We have a positive group which is a great sign of a team.
Deepti Sharma (UP Warriorz captain): Obviously it's a special day today but there is a disappointment that this our last game and we are not going further. Two changes in our team today. We have tried out different combinations and gone for the best XI. We will try to execute to the best of our abilities. How can we forget the super over. Another hard fought contest in the WPL. One team has been eliminated from the five team tournament while the Delhi Capitals have already gone through the playoffs despite their defeat today. The three teams in the middle will fight it out for the other two spots. RCB have their work cut out and needs to win big in the last two matches and hope other results goes their way. Harleen Deol is the Player of the Match, here is what she had to say: After winning the game, it's very pleasing for a batter. Actually, when I was batting, the ball wasn't quite coming nicely. For me, the game was much easier as Dottin, Kashvee were all left. They did what they does the best. Like when you are batting with Beth, you have to just run. She closes her eyes and sprints for a run. When you are batting with Ash and Dotti you just have to give single and they will do the rest but when you are batting with Beth, she hits a boundary and rotates the strike which also gives you the opportunity to score a boundary and keep the scoreboard moving. I told Kashvee that Shikha was bowling straight, close your eyes and swing straight and you will hit a six. It's winning matches for your team, which you keep on dreaming.
Ashleigh Gardner (Gujarat Giants captain): Yeah very pleased. Delhi were on for 200 after the powerplay. We did well to peg them back. We gave ourselves the best possible chance and then batted beautifully. Different people stood up today. I was very pleased for Meghna for taking three wickets. Someone like TK and Deandra who takes a lot of wickets. Yeah potentially, I don't think off spin wasn't the right match up against those batters. The people bowled well in the death so I wasn't needed. She has played some different roles and she has played some different roles and adjusted to every role which is heartening to see. She played positive cricket all through which was great to see.

Deandra Dottin (Gujarat Giants): To be honest, I was very confident. Once I stepped out, the pressure was on DC. I knew what they were going to bowl and played accordingly. I played it a bit too early, that's that. We have given superb performances and the girls are hungry. We are playing good cricket and want to be positive throughout.
Meg Lanning (captain, Delhi Capitals): That's how the tournament goes, we knew it was going to be a tough game tonight. Credit to Gujarat, they put us under pressure. With the dew coming in, I felt it was getting better to bat on and we were 10-15 short. It was a night to contribute tonight but it was a good effort by us. The effort was there tonight but it was about doing the basics well. We know we have got to play two great games and it is about putting the best foot forward, be it the eliminator or the final. We will sit back and wait
Gujarat Giants won by 5 wickets (with three deliveries to spare)
It turned out to be a fascinating run chase from the Gujarat Giants as they kept their hopes alive of qualifying through to the playoffs with a hard fought 5 wicket win in the final over of the game. The target of 178 was never going to be a straightforward one for the Giants and it went along in that manner. Yet again, Gujarat lost Dayalan Hemalatha early and it required the experienced duo of Harleen Deol and Beth Mooney to get them back on track.
Mooney struck some delightful strokes and made full use of the crease as she usually does and hot ample support at the other end from Harleen. The 85 run partnership looked threatening before it was broken by Minnu Mani at a crucial juncture of the game. Mooney was dismissed in the 12th over but Gujarat was very much in the game with Ashleigh Gardner coming out to the middle. There were a few quiet overs but Gardner ensured she struck a boundary whenever the required rate climbed up.
She was holed out at deep backward square leg in an attempt to clear the fence. Deandra Dottin came in next and changed the complexion of the game within a blink of an eye. She smashed a couple of fours and as many sixes en route to a whirlwind 24 off 10 balls. One shot too many resulted in her departure. Kashvee Gautam then struck a very important six on the penultimate delivery of the 19th over. Harleen was calm as a cucumber and batted superbly in the final over to see her side through.
10:50 PM local and IST: The Gujarat Giants have chased this down against all the odds. A match winning knock from Harleen Deol, she stayed there till the end and ensured that a couple of hiccups in the 18th over didnt prove to be enough for the Delhi Capitals to win the match. The victory also means that GG has a big chance of going through to the playoffs and a top two finish is also on the cards. With this win for GG, UP Warriorz are also out of the tournament.
19.3 Jess Jonassen to Kashvee Gautam, TWO RUNS! GG WIN! Full and on the line of the middle and leg stump, Kashvee Gautam knocks it down the ground to long on. Annabel Sutherland fumbles a bit and the pair come back for a second to seal their win. Gujarat Giants beat Delhi Capitals by five wickets and move up to the second place
