That is all we have from the commentary box for this game. Till the next time, it's goodbye from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) along with my fellow commentator Mohul Bhowmick. Cheers!!!
Tom Rogers, Player of the Match: It was actually really exciting to be here in front of a pretty vocal crowd. We thought we had a pretty good total on the board. Fortunately, the ball moved a bit and it helped us. Not too much spice. A lot of Victorians, we are mates and we more than happy to join in the fun. Not too much into the Zampa incident to be honest. I think today, I probably didn't bowl too well in the last couple of games. Wanted to hit the wicket really hard and bowl with a bit of pace.
Melbourne Stars 108/9 in 20 overs Nick Larkin 48*(40) | Tom Rogers 5/16
At the halfway stage it looked the Melbourne Renegades were at least 15 runs short of a competitive score but what the bowlers produced was nothing short of a masterclass. Led by an incredible spell of fast bowling by Tom Rogers, the Renegades managed to restrict the Stars to 108/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
Rogers who was ignited by the run-out incident towards the back end of the first innings breathed fire right from the word go. He castled Joe Clarke on the first legal delivery and then accounted for Beau Webster and his namesake Thomas Rogers in his 2nd over. It was an incredible spell of fast bowling which caught the Stars off guard and they could never really recover from that.
Will Sutherland then nicked off Marcus Stoinis with the scores reeling at 18/4. Hilton Cartwright and Nick Larkin tried to resurrect the sinking ship and shared a 39-run partnership to get the Stars back on track but again a cluster of wickets towards the final stretch of the match again tilted the scales totally in favor of the Renegades. Larkin gave his best and Rogers was the pick of the bowlers for the Renegades, finishing with exceptional figures of 5/16 in his 4-over spell.
Earlier in the day, it was the Melbourne Stars who won the toss and put the Renegades in. Useful contributions from Martin Guptill, Shaun Marsh and Mackenzie Harvie took the Renegades to 142 which look nowhere close to enough at the halfway mark. However, a dynamic bowling performance by the Renegades saw them thumping the Stars by 33 runs.

19.6 Will Sutherland to Adam Zampa, short of a length outside off, Zampa tries to cut it away to the off side, but gets beaten as the ball goes through to the keeper Sam Harper. THE MELBOURNE RENEGADES WIN BY 33 RUNS!
19.5 Will Sutherland to Nick Larkin, short of a length outside off, Larkin cuts it towards point uppishly for a run.
19.4 Will Sutherland to Nick Larkin, FOUR! Short and wide outside off, Larkin makes some room for himself and smacks it over the fielder at cover for a boundary! That was well played by Larkin but poorly bowled by Sutherland.
19.3 Will Sutherland to Nick Larkin, fullish on middle, Larkin scoops it away to fine leg and takes a couple of runs.
19.2 Will Sutherland to Adam Zampa, at a length outside off, Zampa tries to scoop it away to fine leg and takes a run.
19.1 Will Sutherland to Nick Larkin, FALLS SAFE! At a length on middle and leg, Larkin hoicks it away to the on side but gets a thickish top edge that lands just short of fine leg and allows him to take a run.
