Commentary

Alright! We finally have a centurion in the last league match of Major League Cricket. Klaasen displayed his breathtaking six-hitting capabilities and everyone's eyebrows were raised, when he hammered Rashid Khan for 26 runs. After a blistering knock like this, he just brings the fear factor to the bowlers heading into the playoffs.

Even though we still can't get over this Klaasen knock, it's time to look ahead now. Orcas and Texas meet in qualifier one, while Washington and New York lock horns in the eliminator. Heinrich Klaasen (Player of the Match) - I knew it was going to be difficult. I couldn't find my swing at the start. My formula is to go after the bowlers but it wasn't easy as they have a phenomenal bowling attack. I found my confidence after taking on Rashid but then struggled to find my swing again. Trent Boult's last over got me nervous but luckily we cross the finish line. Pride myself on not getting out in the middle overs and tried to keep a strike at 140-150 and I made sure that we don't fall behind the asking rate. It's so hot in Dallas and it's tough to play the day game, so it's good to play on the night

Seattle Orcas finish top of the table with an emphatic victory, all thanks to Heinrich Klaasen, who almost single-handedly helped his team to chase a huge score against a quality bowling attack. He didn't show mercy to anyone as he went after them and continued to dominate proceedings before becoming the first player to score a MLS century

The start wasn't convincing for the Orcas as Rashid removed de Kock cheaply before getting rid of Jayasuriya for a duck. Nauman liked pace on the ball and played some handsome shots in the middle and once Klaasen joined hands with him, the duo kept scoring boundaries and sixes at regular intervals to gain some momentum after an early setback

Klaasen was handed a lifeline by Brevis as he spilled an easy catch at deep mid-wicket and it proved very costly in the end. After getting a second chance, Klaasen didn't hold back as he was dealing in sixes and the bowlers had no clue how to stop him. Rashid Khan was assigned to stop the onslaught by Pooran in the 16th over but he was smashed for 26 runs and some of those sixes were really humongous by Klaasen

It looked like smooth sailing for the Orcas after Klaasen took Rashid on but Trent Boult wreaked havoc with his well-disguised knuckle balls and picked up three wickets in his final over to drag his team back into the contest. After Boult's magical over, Orcas' hopes were pinned on Klaasen and he not only scored a century but also made sure that his team crossed a finish line with a gigantic six over long-on
