Middlesex have now lost 12 games in a row, counting last year's campaign as well. It's a team low on confidence and struggling to turn things around as they stay rooted to the bottom of the table. Well, that's all we from this contest as we take your leave. This is Pratyush Rohra, signing off on behalf of my partner, Pragadeesh. Goodnight!
Sussex Sharks won by 4 runs!
Shadab Khan - 59 (30) | Nathan McAndrew - 2/34 Stephen Eskinazi - 94* (62) | Luke Hollman - 2/30
Middlesex must be wondering what they have to do to turn their fortunes around. They did well to take this game deep and had the run chase under control for most parts. However, they still couldn't get over the line to break their losing streak, which now extends to eight games in this season. That keeps them rooted to the bottom of the table, while Sussex get a crucial win.
It was Shadab Khan who set things up with the bat, with enough support from Ravi Bopara. Those two were the heroes in the bowling department too, doing a stellar job in the middle overs to make sure they don't let Middlesex run away with the game, even when Stephen Eskinazi found his groove.
The Middlesex captain single-handedly dragged his side close to the finish line, but couldn't quite get them over the line as he didn't get enough support from the other end. With the game coming down to the wire, he found himself starved off strike as the Sharks circled around the other batters to get the job done with timely wickets, and some experienced death bowling from McAndrew and Mills.
It was a crucial game for both these to try and move to the right end of the table. Sussex have certainly done that by bagging the two points tonight, while Middlesex still wait for their first win this season.

19.6 Tymal Mills to Stephen Eskinazi, NO RUN! THE SHARKS EDGE PAST MIDDLESEX BY 4 RUNS! Pitched up slanting wide of off-stump, Eskinazi shuffles across to swing this towards deep mid-wicket but ends up making no contact. It was a quicker delivery from Mills and the extra pace doesn't allow Eskinazi to connect this on the leg-side
There won't be a Super Over since this is a league game. Middlesex need 5 runs to win. Simply put, this ball has to go to the boundary if they are to get a point. All four fielders deep on the leg side.
Eskinazi was gone for all money there! The throw was well wide though, and that allows him to make his ground. He's fallen to his knees and needs some refreshments with a new pair of gloves.
19.5 Tymal Mills to Stephen Eskinazi, hits the deck hard outside leg-stump to follow Eskinazi. He gets cramped and hits it in front of square. He comes back for the second run and the throw was wide of the keeper, so Eskinazi dives to drag his bat over the line
Eskinazi moves into the 90s! Middlesex need 7 off 2.
19.4 Tymal Mills to Stephen Eskinazi, FOUR! Slow delivery slanting across off, Eskinazi gives room, waits for the ball to come close before lifting it over cover for a boundary
They steal the bye that time. All eyes on the Middlesex captain now.
