One expected this game to be a humdinger, but this turned out to be a one-sided game with the defending champions, Mumbai Indians, taking home the bragging rights. Amelia Kerr is today's Player of the Match. Here's what she has to say: I guess you always feel good after a win. Today was really pleasing for our team. With the ball, in the field and with the bat it was a complete performance. Nice to leave here (Bangalore) with a win. I love batting and training for batting. I've put in a lot of work with different coaches who have helped me with my game. It's more about backing myself while I'm batting. Credit to the support staff for believing in me. It's sometimes tough bowling the last over especially when you've got Ellyse Perry at the other end. It's just about bowling to your field. Sometimes it goes your way and sometimes it doesn't.

Natalie Sciver-Brunt (Mumbai Indians captain): We weren't really in the game the other day. I think it was a complete performance tonight and we're really happy with that. We were looking to keep them to anything under 150 but we knew the wicket would get better under lights. We did well to execute at the start and we're really happy especially with the powerplay bowling. (On rotating the bowlers around) You don't want a bowler to bowl too many in a row apart from maybe the start where they might be some swing. We're pretty lucky to have the kind of players we have. (On the start given by the openers) Both took their individual routes but it's something we've spoken about - to put pressure early on the opposition.

Yastika Bhatia (Mumbai Indians): A very important win. It was very crucial. We were just thinking of getting those two points on the board. Happy I could contribute to that. I've been working on my game at all levels. The wicket is very nice (here) and the ball is coming on nicely to the bat. I really wanted to go on and finish the game and convert it into a not out innings. I hope that in the next innings I can be not out and win the match for the team. (On Sciver-Brunt rotating her bowlers around regularly and how tough it is for a keeper) Anything is okay for me, whatever the team wants I am ready to adapt to that. I really love keeping. The bowlers in our team are really good and they get me a lot of dismissals. (On Amelia Kerr) Definitely my favorite leg-spinner in the world. I really like wicket-keeping to her and getting those dismissals. She's also been batting really well, taking that responsibility and finishing the job for the team. She's a really good asset for the team.

Smriti Mandhana (Royal Challengers Bangalore captain): We would have loved to have had a good start. I think 35/4, that really cost us the game. It was the same wicket on which we played against Delhi Capitals. We thought anything around 165 would be a good total since it wasn't as good a pitch but it was still a good wicket to bat on. Batting first, we've seen that it's holding a little bit. We couldn't adjust to the wicket. We tried and went with the flow but it didn't work. Hopefully we learn from our mistakes and come back strong. (What are the areas the team needs to improve upon?) In terms of batting, having a good start is very important. In terms of our bowling we need to bowl at the stumps a lot more. It helped us in the first couple of matches. Pez is definitely a fighter. Even today she wasn't 100 per cent but anyone who watched her wouldn't feel that she wasn't 100 per cent. She got us to 130 - it was a really good knock. We have one more day to think of what went wrong today. Both saves (Shreyanka today and Wareham last game) were really brilliant and that's something that lifts up our energy. Some positives to take out of this game and the last. Those sort of efforts really lift up the team.

Absolute domination this from the defending champions. The last game was an aberration for them and many questions were raised after that loss but they have done well to come back and get two crucial points on board in this game. RCB will walk back dejected as they have lost their second game on the trot and will be looking to come back with a bang in the last game they play come Monday.

Mumbai Indians started the chase with a bang as Yastika Bhatia fired all cylinders. The southpaw from Chandigarh did extremely well to get the ball from the middle of the bat and send it running to the fence. She trimmed the margin down by quite a margin before losing a wicket.

Hayley Matthews played perfect second fiddle to her as he too attacked the deliveries that were available to her. She too lost her wicket in a bid to maximise along with Sciver-Brunt, who started well but then surprisingly applied the brakes. Towards the end, it was Amelia Kerr, who came up the order and closed the game with 29 balls to spare.

RCB will be kicking themselves that the bowling did not put up a fight and looked toothless throughout the target defence. Only Georgia Wareham, Sophie Devine and Shreyanka Patil picked up a wicket each. Other bowlers could not get breakthroughs, with Renuka Singh Thakur and Sophie Molineux going for plenty of runs.

15.1 Georgia Wareham to Amelia Kerr, FOUR! GAME, SET AND MATCH! Kerr fittingly wraps it up with an outstandingly placed stroke. Hangs back and opens the face to glide this back of a length delivery in the channel into the gap between point and cover point. The latter goes dashing after it but this outfield is too quick for her. Dominance from start to finish as Mumbai Indians return to winning ways with a 7-wicket win!

Mumbai Indians need 3 runs in 30 balls. Praises lamented for this batting effort are not enough while their counterparts will be facing a plethora of questions tonight.
