So that brings us to the end of a fascinating contest between bat and ball. The Tonton crowd witnessed a good battle between bat and ball. Cricketing action continues tomorrow with lots of matches lined up but for now, this is me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) biding adieu to you all. Goodnight!
Somerset won by 4 wickets (with 3 deliveries to spare)
Gloucestershire 186/8 in 20 overs
Grant Roelofsen 52(39) | Jack Taylor 42(33) Matt Henry 2/28(4) | Josh Davey 1/30(4)
Somerset 187/6 in 19.3 overs
Will Smeed 78(42) | Ben Green 37(25) Zaman Akhter 2/36(4) | Ajeet Dale 2/37(4)
After a great game of cricket, it was Somerset who edges out Gloucestershire by 4 wickets and with three deliveries to spare. The Gloucester bowlers bowled well in patches but the likes of Will Smeed, Ben Green and Kasey Aldridge batted out of their skin to take their side home. Tom Banton was dismissed by Josh Shaw in just the 2nd delivery of the innings but that didn't stop Will Smeed from smoking it all around the ground during his blistering 78 off 42 deliveries.
Tom Kohler Cadmore joined Smeed in the middle and shared a 31-run stand but his contribution was just 4. His departure meant that there was a stutter in the middle overs. Captain Tom Abell was dismissed cheaply while Sean Dickson followed suite pretty soon. It looked like that Smeed was the only Somerset batter who looked at complete ease in the middle.
None of the top five barring him could score in double digits. Smeed kept thrashing the listless bowlers all around the park and they had no idea whatsoever. Smeed was eventually dismissed in an attempt to continue the onslaught. His knock of 78 was studded with 7 fours and 5 sixes and set the platform for the chase. Towards the end, it was Kasey Aldridge who resurrected the innings along with Ben Green as the duo shared a valuable 48-run stand.
Following the departure of Green, Craig Overton took the onus on himself to play the big shots. His six and a four off the penultimate over swung the pendulum in favour of Somerset and it was an easy job for Aldridge in the final over. For Gloucester, Ajeet Dale and Zaman Akhter was the pick of the bowlers bagging a couple each.
19.3 Graeme van Buuren to Kasey Aldridge, that's game set and match for Somerset. Works away the slowish length delivery around middle stump towards the square leg region and scampers through for a couple to win it for Somerset by 4 wickets.
19.2 Graeme van Buuren to Kasey Aldridge, FOUR! Aldridge makes some room towards the on side and launches this tossed up delivery around off and middle well over the extra cover fielder and it races away to the fence.
19.1 Graeme van Buuren to Kasey Aldridge, quicker on a length a shade outside off, Aldridge somehow manages to tap that away towards the vacant spot near mid-off and returns for a brace.
Graeme van Buuren will bowl the final over.

18.6 Zaman Akhter to Craig Overton, FOUR! Spectacular shot by Overton to end the over. Makes some room and drills this fuller-length delivery around middle as straight as an arrow. Just 8 more needed off the final over.
18.5 Zaman Akhter to Craig Overton, fumble at long-on allows Overton to scamper through for a couple. Fuller-length well outside off and Overton mistimes that towards long-on but comes back for a couple.
18.4 Zaman Akhter to Craig Overton, SIX! That's what Somerset was looking for. On the shorter side by Akhter, around the off and middle and Overton takes a few steps forward and slogs it away well over the deep square leg fence.
