So then that's it, the red ball leg of the tour belonged to South Africa and the white-ball leg of the tour also belongs to the hosts after they secured a 2-0 win in the 3 match ODI series. Quinton de Kock: Feels good to go out in the middle and score some runs from my blade. It was good to be out in the middle, sometimes lack of game time catches up with the players and you tend to get a bit rusty. It felt good to face the bowlers out in the middle as it gave me a lot of confidence. Janneman and I share a good relationship, while I was attacking the bowlers, he was only rotating the strike. Life as a father has been pretty brief so far and I had only a couple of days to spend with my child and my wife which has changed my view in general.

Temba Bavuma (South African captain): Very happy with the result of this match. Our objective from the start of the series was to win it and we weren't expecting it to do so in the first 2 games. Very pleased to have Quinny back into the side. He reminds us time and again why he is such a valuable player. As a team, I believe we have got a lot of ability and self-belief in ourselves. We go out in the middle and play as a unit and do not rely on a couple of guys in the team to go out there and get the job done for us. No one gave us a chance coming into the series and we turned that as our motivation. We take a lot of pride in our fast bowling but spinners doing the job for us at home is something very pleasing. I have enjoyed captaining my side even in domestic cricket and always look to see how I help my side. It is good to have a lot of cricketing brains in the side and they always help out. A scoreline of 3-0 sounds much better than 2-1, but we won't much about it. We'll enjoy this win today

KL Rahul (Indian captain): Yes. I think they are playing some really good cricket at home. We are making mistakes in the middle. It's a good learning for us. Obviously not a good feeling being on the losing side for two games in a row. We are a team that takes a lot of pride in winning. Hopefully, it's a good learning and we grow from it. We're not experimenting with individuals but obviously, we are trying to address the mistakes of the past. Partnerships were one thing I spoke about in the last game. The middle-order becomes crucial when we are entering a big tournament. We have seen that earlier and made that mistake. We want to get better at that. We want to get better at bowling in the middle as well and build some pressure. These are the few things that are really obvious and right in front of us. We know that and we've spoken about it. It's only up to us to get better and learn from it and find a way. It does feel like one of the wickets at home. I don't think it was a pitch that they could have chased down 280 quite easily, but credit to them. They batted really well in the series and they are showing us the importance of partnerships and putting pressure early on. Something for us to learn again. Lots of positives to be honest. The way Shikhar and Virat batted in the first game was really good. That's the tempo we want to keep going in limited-overs cricket. Today the way Rishabh batted. We know it's not easy to come in the middle with two wickets down, to come and play shots. But the way he managed to take some time and took them down the spinners and targetted the areas where he is strong was pleasing. That's something he is working on. That's great to see that he has done that today and it'll give him confidence going forward. He is a key player for us and a key member of the team. Shardul's been brilliant too at the end. He's showing us that he can bat lower down the order and make a good contribution. Jasprit Bumrah is obviously phenomenal and has been the stand-out bowler for us. He continues to keep impressing everybody and doing well. Yuzi (Chahal) did well. A few positives and a few areas we need to improve on. The energy has been great. It's been a hot couple of days here. We also haven't played ODI cricket in a long time. I'm not saying that as an excuse but being out there for 50 overs does challenge your body. A lot of us have played Test cricket and going straight into one-day cricket has been tough on the body with the bubbles in place as well. It's challenging. We love challenges but we have come short in the first two games. We'll look forward to the third game and try and win that one. Too early to say if we'll make any changes. It's been a hot day. We'll try and cool down and relax and probably mix with the team and coaches to have a chat on where we can get better. There may or may not be a few changes, I don't know. We'll have to wait and see.

South Africa win the match by 7 wickets and take the 3 match ODI series 2-0

An amazing game for South Africa comes to an end as they register a comprehensive win in this match. They started their chase on the right note, with Quinton de Kock going all guns blazing and Janneman Malan playing a perfect second fiddle to him, The batters did exceptionally well to see through India's new ball bowling attack and scored 66/0 in the first 10 powerplay overs. This is also the highest score chased at Paarl since 250 by South Africa against Sri Lanka in 2001

Quinton de Kock registered a 50 next to his name and then Malan also registered his 50. de Kock was dismissed by Shardul Thakur and then Malan and Bavuma carried along. The duo put together 80 runs for the second wickets and treated pace and spin alike, scoring runs freely and having a go at the bowlers, in particular having a go at Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Bavuma was dismissed by Chahal and soon after it was Malan who was dismissed by Bumrah. At that moment, the game looked evenly poised, but then Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram did really well to bat well through the dying moments of the game and seal the deal for their side with some run a ball 30s.

India's bowling was a flat performance today. Barring Bumrah and Chahal, no bowler looked close to his best. Bumrah, Chahal and Thakur shared the three wickets between themselves. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ashwin had an off day with Bhuvneshwar being taken apart to all nooks and corners of the park. Venkatesh Iyer rolled his arm over and did well in the 5 overs he bowled.

Dropped short and outside off-stump, Markram rocks back to slap it to mid-off to scamper through for a quick single. Markram dives in to make his ground and takes his side over the line. South Africa take the series with another commanding performance over the visitors, winning this match by 7 wickets.

South Africa only need 1 run to win 12 deliveries. It has been a good performance with the bat in hand for them and they seal the deal in this game.
