Manpreet Gony is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: We had focus on the conditions. There was pressure on me and captain gave me the ball. When your total is low, the batters who gets runs towards the end, it's always a bonus. Every team is a good team in the tournament. It's a final and the team with a better performance will win the tournament.

Faiz Fazal (India Tigers captain): Pretty relieved. Yeah I think the wicket had something in it. We were aiming for 160 but anything above 150 was going to be a good score. We are glad to have Naman Ojha. Hopefully he comes to the party in the final. I am really happy for the bowlers. We are waiting eagerly for the final. Thankyou to the crowd. The crowd turning up here and watching on TV. One more match and hopefully, we won't disappoint you.

Thisara Perera, Sri Lankan Lions captain: We are disappointed as a team, we had a couple of run outs. Would have been a different story had I been there. 145 is really chasable, because it's a used wicket we used a lot of spinners. We did it as a bowling unit but failed as a batting unit. Just wanted to thank the organization committee, you guys did a great job, we enjoyed. Thanks to them, the fans and the Sri Lankan crowd. Dilshan gave his best in the match. We lost, part of the game. Have to think about the future series.

The India Tigers have managed to defend an under par score of 148 and have booked their place in the final of the inaugural edition of the Asian Legend's League Cricket. Sri Lanka Lions were well and truly in the game up until Tillakaratne Dilshan was out in the middle but lost their way in the last few overs to eventually hand the India Tigers a run victory.

With the win, they have also qualified for the final of the tournament slated to be played against the Asian Stars in the same Stadium tomorrow. Leo Fransisco departed early as Manpreet Gony made a breakthrough in the very first over. Meyan Fernando couldn't quite get going and ended up scoring a 23 ball 18 which put pressure on Dilshan at the other end.

He was batting well and kept finding the boundaries quite regularly. Wickets kept tumbling at the other end as the Sri Lanka Lions kept losing their way. Dilshan kept going but his departure turned out to be the final nail in the coffin. Malinda Pushpakumara chipped in with a quickfire 15 off 10 deliveries but that wasn't quite enough as India Tigers by 12 runs.

Bipul Sharma: It's a satisfying spell for me as the team needed me to chip in and I am thankful I managed to get the wicket of Dilshan. I knew he would step down the track and the plan was simple. There was bit of pressure in the final over but Gony is an experienced bowler. Body is not hundred percent but this is bound to happen.
