View AllAndy Dalton: A Brief Biography
It has been a decade-plus since Dalton was drafted into the NFL in 2011. Now he is a veteran and time has passed really fast. Last year, he played for the New Orleans Saints and was expecting great results but that did not come to pass. Not all fell on Andy’s shoulder because many key players from the Saints' roster were MIA due to various injuries.
Currently, the Carolina Panthers have signed him as a veteran. In the few games he has been a part of this season, Dalton's performance so far has been less than amazing. He was in fact benched at the second of the one game he started this season. This was due to the less-than-stellar performance he was having during the first half. As a backup quarterback, Andy can actually help the Panthers a lot. However, the results have not been impressive. He is currently serving as a backup quarterback to Baker Mayfield.
If we sit and evaluate his game, Dalton is a solid quarterback who has had a mixed bag of results so far in his long career. Some fans criticize his lack of mobility and his less than clutch performances during crunch time whereas others look at him as a field general who can make other players around him better.
He has signed with various teams throughout his career so far. The likes of the Bears, Saints, Cowboys, and Bengals have all had him for a short while before trading him away.
