Born on 15 September 1995, Terry McLaurin grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. The WR attended Cathedral High School. His outstanding talent earned him the Indiana Mr. Football Award in 2013. Presented by The Indiana Star every year, the award is given to the top player in high school in the state of Indiana.

Mclaurin then took his talents to Ohio State University. A four-star recruit, McLaurin redshirted his freshman season. In his junior season as Buckeye, he recorded 436 receiving yards and six TDs in 13 games. As a senior, McLaurin had 701 receiving yards and scored 11 touchdowns. He was part of the Ohio State University team that won the national title in 2015.

In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Washinton Commanders selected Terry McLaurin as the 76th pick in the third round. The team drafted late-Dwayne Haskins with their first round pick. He was McLaurin’s college quarterback.
