Tyler Lockett is an active American football player and is currently the wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL). Lockett was drafted by the Seahawks in the 2015 NFL draft as the 69th pick in the third round. A Kansas State alumni, the WR was phenomenal during his college football career. Tyler Lockett Early Life
Lockett was born on 28 September 1992 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a three-sport athlete when he attended the Booker T. Washington High School. He played basketball, football and track and field.
During his sophomore season for the Booker T. Washington Hornets, Lockett delivered the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) championship in multiple sports - football and basketball.
He was a vital cog for the Booker T. Washington High School football team, playing different positions. The Oklahoma Coaches Association voted Lockett All-State as a DB and Class 5A All-State as a WR.
He was sensational, not just in football, but in basketball and track and athletics as well. He led his high school basketball team to the OSSA 5A Championship in 2015. Lockett was also an elite sprinter. In the 2011 State 5A Regionals, he won the 100m dash. In the 5A state finals, he finished third in both 100m and 200m races.
A three-star recruit, he decided to take his talents to the Kansas State Wildcats Football team in college. He had a connection with Kansas State University and it was inevitable. The connection is that his father and uncle were both former players for the Kansas State Wildcats Football team.
Lockett was a star in college and earned numerous accolades during his time with the Wildcats. The Seahawks WR finished his college career with 6,586 career all-purpose yards and 35 touchdowns. It also includes his 3,710 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns.
