Ben She­lton is an American professional tennis player­ who was born on October 9, 2002, in Atlanta, Georgia. He turned pro in 2022 and has quickly made a name for himself on the ATP tour. Shelton is ranked No. 13 in singles as of May 2025 with a career-high ranking of No. 12, which he achieved on March 3, 2025. His best Grand Slam performance came at the 2023 US Open, where he reached the semifinals. He lost to world No. 1 Novak Djokovic in straight sets. He also made it to the semifinal of the 2025 Australian Open, registering a win over Lorenzo Sonego, Gael Monfils and Lorenzo Musetti en route. However, he lost to Jannik Sinner in the next round.

Shelton reached the quarterfinal round of the 2025 Indian Wells Masters, where he lost to Jack Draper in straight sets.
