Bobby Lashley's Early Life

Bobby Lashley was born on the 16th of July, 1976 in Kansas City, Junction. He is of Panamanian descent and the son of a US Army Drill Sergeant. He grew up with his mother who barely spoke any English. He has three sisters who are older than he is. Lashley attended Kansas City High School, where he wrestled as well. He also followed into his father steps and joined the US Army's World Class Athelte Program for three years after graduation.

Bobby Lashley Professional Wrestling Career

WWE First Run (2005-2008)

In September, he made his debut on SmackDown. Lashley spent his first year chasing the Money in the Bank contract and Royal Rumble match but failed to win. After WrestleMania, Lashley faced Booker T in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament and lost. In May, he defeated JBL to win the United States Championship.

Lashley spent his remaining time on SmackDown facing The King's Court. In December, Lashley moved to ECW and won the ECW World Championship at December to Dismember. Later, he represented Donald Trump during the Battle of Billionaires and faced Umaga at WrestleMania XXII and won. Lashley continued his feud with Umaga, Shane, and Vince McMahon.

In June, he won his second ECW World Championship by defeating Vince McMahon. Later, he was drafted to RAW but relinquished the ECW Championship. Lashley spent his time in the WWE Championship picture where he faced John Cena on two occasions and lost. In July, Lashley was injured and took some time off. During his time off, he was released from the company.

TNA First Run (2008-2010)

Lashley spent the next couple of years on the independent circuit and began training for his MMA career. In 2008, he made his TNA debut and attacked Main Event Mafia. Lashley spent some time helping Mick Foley against MEM. At Bound for Glory, Lashley defeated Samoa Joe via submission. At Turning Point, Lashley lost to Scott Steiner in a falls count anywhere match. In January, Lashley left the company.

TNA Second Run (2014-2018)

In 2014, Lashley made his return to TNA. He quickly joined the Beat Down Clan and turned heel. By June, Lashley won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, making him the first African-American TNA Champion. In October, Lashley lost the title to Bobby Roode and regained it a month later. Lashley spent the next year chasing the TNA World Heavyweight Championship but failed. In 2016, Lashley turned heel after attacking Kurt Angle.

At Slammiversary, Lashley defeated Drew Galloway and won his third TNA World Heavyweight Championship. By August, Lashley won held the TNA World Heavyweight, X-Division, and King of the Mountain Championship at the same time. In 2017, he won his fourth TNA World Heavyweight Championship and lost to Alberto El Patron at Slammiversary. Lashley spent the last few months in various feuds before losing to Brian Cage and departing from the company.

After WrestleMania 34, Lashley made his return on RAW and attacked Elias. At Extreme Rules, he defeated Roman Reigns. Lashley spent the year feuding with Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and Elias. Lio Rush managed Lashley, and he defeated Dean Ambrose to win the Intercontinental Championship. At Elimination Chamber, Lashley lost the title to Finn Balor.

At WrestleMania 35, Lashley lost the title to Demon Balor. After Mania, Lashley spent the next few months feuding with Braun Strowman and lost. In September, Lashley returned and began feuding with Rusev having Lana by his side. The feud went on for the next few months, where Lana and Lashley became a couple, married each other on-screen, and defeated Rusev and Liv Morgan.

At WrestleMania 36, Aleister Black defeated Lashley. After Mania, Lashley dumped Lana and joined MVP to form The Hurt Business. Lashley won his second United States Championship by defeating Apollo Crews. At Survivor Series, Lashley defeated Sami Zayn. At Elimination Chamber, Lashley lost the title to Riddle. Later, he attacked Drew McIntyre after his match.

On RAW, Lashley defeated The Miz to become the WWE Champion. Lashley is the third African American WWE Champion in the company's history. At WrestleMania 37, Lashley defeated Drew McIntyre to retain his title. After 195 days, Lashley lost the title to Big E. At Crown Jewel, Lashley faced Goldberg and lost.

In 2022, Lashley entered a fatal 5 way for the WWE Championship and lost. At Royal Rumble, Lashley defeated Brock Lesnar to win his second WWE Championship. At Elimination Chamber, Lashley was taken out during the match and was unable to compete. Originally, Lashley was injured at Royal Rumble. At WrestleMania 38, Lashley defeated Omos.

The next night, his former manager MVP turned on him and joined Omos. This led to a string of matches between the two. Lashley defeated both Omos and MVP at Hell In A Cell and challenged Theory afterwards. He defeated Theory for the United States Championship at Money in the Bank 2022. Lashley is scheduled to defend his title against Theory in a rematch at SummerSlam 2022. On the 29th August edition of RAW, The United States Champion defeated Miz. On the RAW after Clash at the Castle, Bobby Lashley defeated Miz in a steel cage match and retained the U.S. Championship. On the 10th October edition of RAW, Bobby was attacked by Brock Lesnar before his championship match against Seth Rollins. He lost the title that night as Bobby wasn't at his best after Lesnar's attack.

On the 17th October edition of RAW, Bobby called out Brock Lesnar at the start of the show. Then, Lesnar and Lashley got into an all-out brawl. At Crown Jewel, Lashley lost to Lesnar and shifted his focus to the United States Championship. He faced Rollins and the next champion Austin Theory on a few occasions but failed to capture the title each time. At Royal Rumble 2023, Lashley eliminated Lesnar but was eliminated by Rollins. This led to another match between Lashley and Lesnar at Elimination Chamber. Lashley won the match via DQ after Lesnar hit him with a low blow. The All-Mighty then went on to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania SmackDown.

Post-WrestleMania, he again shifted his focus to the US title. Lashley then challenged Austin Theory for the US Title at Backlash in a Triple Threat match also involving Bronson Reed but Theory managed to retain the gold. He was drafted to SmackDown during the 2023 WWE Draft. He took part in the tournament to crown the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion. In the first round, he defeated Austin Theory and Sheamus in a triple-threat match but lost to AJ Styles in the second round and went on an indefinite hiatus. He returned to WWE in July 2023 and started appearing backstage with The Street Profits.

In the coming weeks, he started praising, encouraging, and mentoring The Street Profits. Lashley teamed up with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins at Fastlane 2023 against the Latino World Order. The three lost to Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, and a returning Carlito, leading to Lashley's frustration.
