Professional Wrestling Career

Early Years (1983-1991)

Hart began his wrestling career by training at Stampede Wrestling. During these years, Hart wrestled across Europe, Japan, and Mexico and worked with various promotions, such as NJPW and WCW.

WWF (1991-1999)

The New Foundation and Bret Hart (1991-1995)

After signing with WWF, Hart began a tag team with Jim Neidhart called The New Foundation. The team lasted for a short period before Neidhart left the company. Hart began his journey as a solo competitor. In 1993, Hart was involved in a feud with Jerry Lawler and Bret Hart. In late 1993, Bret and Owen showcased strife as a team. At Royal Rumble 1994, Owen turned on Bret. Later, Bret won the rumble alongside Lex Luger.

At WrestleMania X, Owen defeated Bret Hart. While Bret defeated Yokozuna in the main event to win the WWF Championship. At the King of the Ring event, Owen won the tournament and challenged Bret for the WWF Championship. At SummerSlam, Bret Hart defeated Owen Hart in a steel cage match for the WWF Championship. At Survivor Series, Owen distracted Bret Hart, which led Bob Backlund to win the WWF Championship.

Owen vs Bret at WrestleMania

The British Bulldog, The Black Hart, and The Blue Blazer (1996-1999)

After constantly interfering in Bret's matches, the two faced each other and Owen lost. At WrestleMania XI, Owen and Yokozuna won the WWF Tag Team Championship from The Smoking Gunns. The team won the championships again from Michaels and Diesel before disbanding the team in 1996. In September, Owen Hart and The British Bulldog defeated The Smoking Guns to win the WWF Tag Team Championship. The team joined Bret Hart and reunited The Hart Foundation.

In 1997, they lost the tag titles to Michaels and Stone Cold. However, Hart won the Intercontinental Championship from Rocky Maivia. At SummerSlam, Hart lost the title to Austin, but he vacated it due to a botched piledriver. After Austin's return, he faced Hart for the title. However, The Montreal Screwjob happened when all the members of The Hart Foundation, except Owen, left for WCW.

After the incident, Owen returned as a face and went as The Black Hart. He feuded with DX and lost. Hart turned heel and joined The Nation of Domination. After it disbanded The Nation, Hart had various feuds. In his final days, Hart became The Blue Blazer and teamed with Jeff Jarrett. They won the tag team titles and stayed as a team until May.
