Sydney Sixers 2022/23 squad - Players to watch out
Moises Henriques:
The Sixers skipper is for sure the biggest asset for the side, accounting to his wonders over the years. He has been phenomenal as the captain, winning the pink team two BBL championships and even taking them right to the final on two occasions. Henriques has stepped up with the bat too, scoring 440 runs in the 2021 season and ending up as the highest-run scorer for the Sixers. He also holds the record for scoring the most runs for the side in all seasons with 2426 runs under his belt. Hence, his mastery in the captaincy department as well as his form with the bat will be crucial for Sydney’s chances in BBL 12.
Josh Phillipe:
If there’s someone who’s shown consistency for the Sixers time and time again, it is Josh Phillipe! He has been incredible with the bat, standing tall as the highest-run scorer for the Sixers in the 2019, and 2020 edition. He was really close to achieving the feat for a third time too, scoring 429 in the 2021 season. The last three seasons have been fruitful for him and the Sixers will heavily rely on him to bring the goods with the bat this time as well.
Sean Abbott:
The most prolific bower for the Sixers has been Sean Abbot without a doubt. He is the leading wicket-taker for them with 115 scalps and has been with the side for long. Abbott emerged as the topmost bowler for Sydney for 4 straight seasons from 2015 to 2018. He is still going strong and the Sixers will count on him to use his experience and deliver.
