He has won 13 ATP titles including the Washington Open and Rotterdam Open, both ATP 500 events. As of March 2025, Monfils' singles record stands at 579–339, and he holds a record of winning 46 matches in 2010, which is his personal best. Some of his best wins include wins over then-ranked No. 1 Rafael Nadal at the 2009 Doha Open and Daniil Medvedev at the 2022 Indian Wells. Monfils' best Grand Slam result came at the 2008 Roland Garros and the 2016 US Open, where he reached the semifinals.
