Gunther is a WWE Superstar drafted to Monday Night RAW. His original name is Walter Hahn and he was born on August 20, 1987. Walter had been quite interested in professional wrestling since a very young age. He made his professional debut in 2007 in Westside Xtreme Wrestling. Gunther has had a great professional wrestling career where he made a name for himself on the independent circuit before joining WWE. He was a wrestler on the wXw roster up until 2020, even after joining the WWE! There, he won the United Kingdom Championship from Pete Dunne and held it for a record 870 days. This was the longest reign in WWE since 1988 before Roman Reigns surpassed it. During this time, he was the leader of The Imperium, comprising Marcel Barthel, Fabian Aichner, and Alexander Wolfe.

In 2022, he was brought up to the WWE main roster and soon he was joined by Barthel and Aichner who were renamed Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci while Walter was named Gunther. Soon, Gunther defeated Ricochet to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He would go on to hold the belt for the longest time in the history of the belt, before losing it to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL, finishing his reign at 666 days. Just a couple of months later, Gunther won the King of the Ring tournament after defeating Randy Orton in the tournament final.

Gunther was born and brought up in Vienna, Austria. Gunther is married to fellow former professional wrestler Jinny Sandhu. Jinny Sandhu is an English retired wrestler known for her work in WWE. Sandhu was born in London on September 28, 1987. She trained professionally in Progress Wrestling and had stints in the independent circuit before being signed by WWE in 2018. Before that, she had competed in a single match against Toni Storm during the WrestleMania 33 weekend. Sandhu’s professional wrestling career was cut short due to an unfortunate injury. She took to her X (Twitter) account on January 14, 2023, to officially announce her retirement from professional wrestling. Gunther and Jinny Sandhu have one son. He was born on December 27, 2023.
