The Elimination Chamber match is unique and demanding in the WWE landscape. Inside the unforgiving cage are trapped at least six wrestlers. Kept in their pods, these wrestlers wait for their turn to enter the fray and fight for the prize - which is usually a world title opportunity at WrestleMania.

Introduced in 2002, the first Elimination Chamber match was at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event. Later, the match was given a dedicated PPV event, which takes place in February. At present, the event is the only Premium Live Event between Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, playing a crucial role in the Road to WrestleMania.

Emerging victorious in the Elimination Chamber match is considered to be a monumental accomplishment. There are a few wrestlers who have done it more than once, proving their unmatched dominance inside the hellish structure!

Most Number of Elimination Chamber Wins

Triple H has won the Elimination Chamber match a record four times as of February 2025. He won the match in 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2009. The Game has entered the hellish structure six times and was the last man standing on four occasions. In these six entries, Triple H eliminated seven wrestlers, the second-most after Chris Jericho, who has eliminated 10.

Triple H retains World Heavyweight Championship - 2003 Elimination Chamber Match

The first-ever Elimination Chamber match was at Survivor Series 2002 and was won by Shawn Michaels. The next match was at SummerSlam 2003, where Triple H was to defend his Big Gold Belt against Chris Jericho, Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels, and Randy Orton. Triple H entered fifth in the match and pinned Goldberg to punch his victory and retain the gold.

Triple H wins the vacant World Heavyweight Championship - 2005 Elimination Chamber Match

After Triple H’s victory in 2003, the next Elimination Chamber match took place at New Year’s Revolution 2005. The vacant World Heavyweight Championship was up for grabs between Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, Batista, Edge, and Triple H. The Game entered third in the match and finally eliminated Randy Orton to win the gold.

Triple H gets a World Title Match at WrestleMania - 2008 Elimination Chamber Match

The Elimination Chamber match first took place at the No Way Out PPV in 2008. This was also the first time two Elimination Chamber matches were taking place on the same PPV. The Undertaker won the SmackDown edition while JBL, Umaga, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy, and Triple H collided in the main event of the night. Triple H pinned Shawn Michaels and finally Hardy to win a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. His celebrations were soon cut short as he failed to beat Randy Orton at the Grandest Stage of Them All in a triple threat match with John Cena.

Triple H Wins the WWE Championship - 2009 Elimination Chamber Match

At No Way Out 2009, Edge defended his WWE Championship against Big Show, Jeff Hardy, The Undertaker, Vladimir Kozlov, and Triple H inside the Elimination Chamber match. The Cerebral Assassin entered fifth in the match and got two big eliminations in Big Show and The Undertaker to win his fourth Elimination Chamber match. In an interesting turn of events, Edge inserted himself into the World Heavyweight Championship match later that night and won.
