The Mumbai Indians bought a total of 18 players, out of which 10 were Indians and 8 were overseas players. According to the IPL’s official website, New Zealand pacer Trent Boult was the most expensive buy of MI in the mega auction, as he was signed for INR 12.50 crore. Pacer Deepak Chahar was the most expensive Indian buy when they acquired him for INR 9.25 crore. MI availed their right-to-match (RTM) option for uncapped all-rounder Naman Dhir for a price tag of INR 5.25 crore.

MI's injury replacements
MI has quite a few injury replacements in their team. First, they bring in Mujeeb Ur Rehman for Allah Ghazanfar as an injury replacement. Then, Corbin Bosch replaces his countrymen Lizaad Williams in the squad as injury replacement. Vignesh Puthur, who played five games for MI in IPL 2025, has to left out of the team due to injury. MI has signed Raghu Sharma as Puthur's replacement.
