A great chase by Assam, with 5 balls to spare. The first partnership between Hazarika and Parag of 55 runs got them going after losing 2 wickets early. Hazarika with some important runs in his innings. Then came the match winning partnership of 85 runs for the 4th wicket off just 41 balls between Parag and Deka. Parag scored 75 runs off just 41 balls and Deka with a power packed innings of 42 runs at a strike rate of 200. They both threw away their wickets in the end, but Rishav Das and Ahmed finished off the chase.
MP will be disappointed as they had the runs to defend but every bowler was expensive except Kartikeya. They could not break the Parag-Deka partnership which took the game away from them. Ashwin Das with 2 wickets, while Sen, Yadav and Kushwah took a wicket each.
A brilliant chase in the end for Assam as they take out Madhya Pradesh from qualifying alongside themselves.

He got a big wicket in the over, but poor bowling from Sen. A wide and a no ball in the over and 2 boundaries from it as well. Straying on the pads with short fine leg and an easy boundary for Rishav, then a great shot down the ground for another boundary. Just 4 runs required off the last over now.
