Kumar Kartikeya Domestic Career
Kumar Kartikeya made his domestic debut for Madhya Pradesh (MP) against Saurashtra in Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018-19 season on September 26, 2018. He was economical with the ball as he returned with figures of 10-1-28-1, which included the priced wicket of opener Robin Uthappa.
Kartikeya made his first-class (FC) debut for MP against Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram in the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 season on November 28, 2018. He picked up a solitary wicket of Kerala bowler Basil Thampi on his Ranji Trophy debut.
The left-arm spinner made his T20 debut for MP against Sikkim in Indore in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018-19 on March 02, 2019. He picked up a three-wicket haul on his T20 debut and returned with figures of 4-0-10-3 as MP won by 50 runs.
Kartikeya was instrumental in MP winning the Ranji Trophy in the 2021-22 season. He picked a four-wicket haul in the second innings in the final against Mumbai. The 26-year-old ended the season as the second-highest wicket-taker with 32 wickets at an average of 21.00 in 11 innings. He bagged his maiden ten-wicket haul in FC cricket against Chandigarh in the Ranji Trophy 2022-23 season.

The Mumbai Indians signed Kumar Kartikeya as a replacement for the injured Mohd. Arshad Khan in IPL 2022. He made his IPL debut against Rajasthan Royals on April 30, 2022, and was economical with the ball. His maiden IPL wicket was the Royals skipper Sanju Samson.
Kartikeya picked 10 wickets across the two seasons of IPL 2022 and 2023. He was retained by the MI management for the IPL 2024 season but did not feature in a single match.
