That will be it from the 2nd T20I at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. There is one more game left in the series. Can the visitors get their first win of the tour on Friday and come out with a consolation win in the white-ball leg, or will Bangladesh inflict a 3-0 clean sweep again, in back-to-back 20-overs' series? Don't forget to join us for that match. For now, this is the trio of Arya, Pratyush and Bidipto taking your leave. Keep following Sportskeeda!
Shakib Al Hasan is the Player of the Match. Here is what the Bangladesh captain has to say: It obviously feels good to be on top (on the wicket-takers list in T20Is). It was important to turn up today and put up the same show we have had in the last four games. (Style of play) That's what we have discussed. That's how we want to play. Most of the teams around the world are doing that, so there's no point in us sitting back. We agreed that's how we want to play and luckily, it's coming off. (Using spin) When I batted, when Tector was bowling slower, it was spinning. There was something in this wicket, so why not start with a spinner from the other side? (Room for complacency) When you go to Australia or England, if they're 2-0 up, they'll try to win 3-0. There won't be complacency. We might have a few changes but those guys coming in will be equally hungry to perform, if not more.
Paul Stirling (Ireland captain): That was a tricky day, no doubt about that. We have a lot to work on. Right now is probably not the best time to mention that. We'll take a day off, get together, and hopefully, come back stronger on Friday. You've got to take every game as it comes. (Would the batters be better if they took some time?) It wouldn't be great to bat for yourself out there. The guys, in the last five games, have had to play for each other. We'll be ready to give it a crack again on Friday. (Spin vs pace) That's another area for me to work on. The captaincy bit. (Were Bangladesh excellent or Ireland poor) It was a balance between the two. They're a strong team. We didn't think it was going to be as one-sided as it has been. I don't think there's any dead rubber for us. We've really got to try to rock up on Friday and take it as it comes.
Bangladesh win by 77 runs!
Litton Das 83 (41) | Shakib Al Hasan - 5/22 (4) Curtis Campher 50 (30) | Ben White - 2/28 (4)
Chasing a score in excess of 200 in 17 overs was always going to be tough. Some would say that it was never a possibility for Ireland. But what could have been a 2nd innings score of 175/7 ended up being 125/9, thanks to some ultra-aggressive batting that failed to work.
The very first delivery of the innings resulted in a wicket with Litton Das taking an excellent catch to his right with one hand! Taskin provided his team with yet another first wicket early in the piece. But then came another solid bowling performance from who else, but the Bangladesh skipper himself - Shakib Al Hasan! He finished his spell with figures of 5 for 22 when the Irish score read 60/6! Such was his impact on this game!
He kept foxing the batters with his bag full of tricks and kept picking up one wicket after another with his arm deliveries. He is back to being the highest wicket taken in T20Is now.
The other impressive bowling performance came from Taskin, who returned with 3 wickets 3 wickets, bowling fast and with a lot of hostility! Hasan Mahmud was the other wicket taker for the hosts.
The only batting performance to talk about for Ireland was Curtis Campher's 50 off 30 balls. Otherwise, the batting was all about premeditated shots and needless swinging of the blade.
The pitch was a batting beauty, make no mistake about that. But not to be able to score 150 on that surface with the bowlers under pressure to defend, was disappointing from the visitors.
So, with that, Bangladesh take an unassailable lead in this series with one game left.

16.6 Taskin Ahmed to Ben White, OHH! An anti-climatic end as Bangladesh win by 77 runs! Full toss outside the off-stump with some tail back in. Somehow misses the off-stump and an awkward bounce for the keeper allowed a bye to be taken. This is Bangladesh's second-largest win in T20Is in terms of margin of runs. They've sealed the three-match series 2-0!
Last ball coming up! Can Taskin pick up another wicket? Let's see.
16.5 Taskin Ahmed to Graham Hume, low full toss on this occasion. Hume managed to get something on it, skewing a thick outside edge that trickles down to third man
Three back-to-back deliveries at over 89 miles an hour!
16.4 Taskin Ahmed to Ben White, OH! Another one pitched up outside the off-stump. White jammed down on it for a thick outside edge that flew to Litton's right. He did put in the dive, only to tip it around the corner to find third man
