Right then, we have come to the end of an incredible contest. The Birmingham Phoenix should have won this game but take nothing away from Akeal Hosein. After conceding a six off a no ball and then to pull that back, he deserves some special plaudits. However the Birmingham Phoenix should have understood the situation and common sense should have allowed them to prevail but this is how the game goes. Jofra Archer, Hero of the Match: Just relieved to be honest. Felt like you just got to commit to it, happens on some days, doesn't happen on others. Just glad that it was one of those days where it worked for me. We've got 11 match-winners and the guys not in the 11 are match-winners as well. The team has so much talent, back the guys all the way. Probably compression boots, lots of physio and maybe some meds (on preparations for the final).

The target of 127 seemed to be a below par one at the halfway stage but with the ball swinging early on for the majority of the tournament it wasn't going to be an easy ask for the Birmingham Phoenix. Ben Duckett and Moeen Ali came out to open the innings and they were tested by the likes of Craig Overton and Jofra Archer. After Overton conceded just two runs off his first set of five deliveries.
Jofra Archer continued the intensity with some fiery bowling. He conceded a six off his first delivery but the comeback was stronger than ever. Duckett was put under immense pressure by Archer and it was Craig Overton who reaped the rewards in the next set of deliveries. Duckett was dismissed on the 13th delivery. Jamie Smith struck a couple of fours before Tymal Mills accounted for him.
It was the partnership between Liam Livingstone and Jacob Bethell which set the matchup for the Phoenix. Livingstone wasn't at his fluent best during his initial stages but he got a reprieve which helped him get going in the innings. Jacob Bethell also got a couple of boundaries away but it was Livingstone who turned the game on its head. He almost finished the game off for the Birmingham Phoenix in the final set of five deliveries. Akeal Hosein bowled a no-ball and conceded a six off his first delivery which made things relatively easy for the Phoenix.
However, it was just superb bowling from Akeal Hosein as he bagged the wicket of Livingstone and took the game to the Super five. It was a sensational set of five deliveries from Jofra Archer which kept the Birmingham Phoenix down to just 7 runs in the super over. Kieron Pollard and Chris Jordan was entrusted to score these runs and they got over the line with a delivery to spare.
Buoy of buoy what a match it turned out to be. The match couldn't be decided in the 100 deliveries and it required something really special from Akeal Hosein to take it to the super five. In the end it was Jofra Archer who bowled brilliantly to keep the target down to 8. Chris Jordan found the boundary through an educated outside edge before driving one down the ground for a couple. He finished it off in style by smashing a boundary off a short or a length delivery to help his side qualify for the final. They were nowhere in the game during the last five deliveries but it was Hosein who held his nerves and the Brave have got back to fight it out in the final.

What an exceptional five deliveries from Jofra Archer. A superb super five and just 7 runs coming off that five deliveries. Jacob Bethell managed to find the boundary once but overall it was all but Archer in those five deliveries. The Southern Brave need 8 runs to win from 5 deliveries.
