Well thank you for joining us for yet another exciting contest here. This is the duo of Soumaraya and Pranav who will be taking your leave. Well, a lot of cricketing action coming up this entire week and we will do our best to make the Monday blues go away! Stay tuned and take care!
(Sikandar Raza, St Lucia Kings, Captain) - "Everything went wrong. We didn't turn up with any department and it went from bad to worse. We will see these guys on Tuesday. It was not easy to bat in the first few overs and if you don't use the conditions well to your advantage, then this is the result. A good innings by Hales, much respect to him. The boys should get plenty of rest and comeback strong here. Well every team in franchise cricket is due for a bad game and I am glad for us it was this one."
(Imad Wasim, Jamaica Tallawahs, Captain) - "The Alex Hales innings was fantastic and I was lucky to witness the same. If we would have won the toss we would have batted first. Once the wicket gets dry the spin will do the trick for sure. We played as a unit and the big players stepped up when it mattered. We needed the momentum that we have got but we don't know what will happen in the playoffs. We got the momentum right at the end, even last year and the units are doing well and we are in form and we look dangerous at the moment."
Alex Hales, Jamaica Tallawahs, Player of the match - I found the middle of the bat from ball one and everything clicked. It was an important knock for the team and I was lucky too. I saw the couple of off spinners bowling and accelerated timely to get the scoreboard going. Imad is a real competitor and some of the sixes he hit in the end were delightful to watch. We have to keep being confident and we struck our chests out and played some aggressive cricket. We will need to take the momentum into the game on next Tuesday.
Innings summary
Jamaica Tallawahs beat St Lucia Kings by 122 runs.
Alex Hales 119 (57) | Chris Green 14/4 (4) Bhanuka Rajapaksa 22 (15) | Roston Chase 33/3 (3)
Well, this was an absolute carnage from the Tallawahs as they booked a spot for the playoffs! A one-sided affair for the Tallawahs as they get the much-needed wickets in some absolute crazy fashion! Green and Walsh were on a frenzy of taking wickets in this one from the get-go and the St Lucia Kings had no response. The Tallawahs have ended things in some crazy fashion here. Amir and Imad had some excellent contribution as well to the side.
The bowlers started things off with a bang as they get two early wickets making a mess of the top order and the batters already had a mountain of runs to chase at the moment. Well, after that the batters fell like dominoes! They were 69/8 at the 10th over mark and were struggling to even get the bat to meet the ball and nothing much to add here as the bowling side added the finishing touches to the match by the 15th overs.
Well Jamaica Tallawahs are going to the playoffs which means the Barbados side have to pack their bags for this year's CPL. An eventful contest for the Tallawahs as they go on to play the eliminator against the same side.

14.6 Imad Wasim to Jeavor Royal, OUT! THAT's the game for the Tallawahs. It was fuller and at the middle stump line. Royal flicked it away to mid wicket and set out for the single. Joseph was never going to make it and he was run out by miles. The St Lucia Kings have been bundled out for a mere 79 runs in 15 overs and the Jamaica Tallawahs win by 122 runs.
Alzarri Joseph run out ( Kirk McKenzie/Shamarah Brooks) 10 (15b, 0x4, 1x6)
14.5 Imad Wasim to Jeavor Royal, slightly slower through the air and Royal presses forward and defends it gently.
14.4 Imad Wasim to Jeavor Royal, Hattrick ball negated! It was back of a length and Royal hung back to defend it.
Jeavor Royal, RHB, is the last batter in.
Just one more wicket for the Tallawahs to get into the final here!
14.3 Imad Wasim to McKenny Clarke, OUT! Ninth one down and Clarke has been adjudged LBW by the umpire. It was bowled fuller and at the stumps. He played the sweep across the line and was caught plumb in front. He goes for the review.
Ultra edge shows no bat involved. Ball tracker shows that it's pitching in line, impact in line and hitting the wickets . The decision stands and Imad will be on a hattrick now.
