So that is it from this match. This is Probuddha Bhattacharjee signing off, Good Night.
Shaheen Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain): Thanks to the fans they have come out and supported us. We have not done well in this season, yet the support has been the same. We played in the first few matches but things have not worked out for us. Well see, the Qalandars are two-time champions, we will not give up easily and keep fighting till the last game.
Usama Mir (Multan Sultans): Thanks to the almighty that we have won the game. The batters played a very good cricket to help us get in a better position. Now with a high score on the board, it becomes easy for the bowlers. Our bowling coach is doing a very good job. He analyses our videos, stats and gives us the plans and we execute. Every wicket was special for e today as my mother has come to the ground to watch me play for the first time. I got hit for a couple of maximums at the start but came back stronger as my captain gave me a lot of confidence. We are all a family and enjoy each other's success. I hope this unity keeps us going and we win the trophy.
Match End!!!!
Lahore Qalandars have scored 154/10 in 17 Overs. Multan Sultan win this match by 60 runs.
The task was a more than a challenging one for the Qalandars when they came out to chase a massive target of 215 runs. But Fakahar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan gave them a good start and ignited the hope amongst the fans.
However, after the departure of the two openers, the Qalandars started to lose the plot. They started to lose regular wickets and fall behind in the chase.
With the arrival of Usama Mir at the bowling crease things were quickened. The last seven wickets fell in a span of 47 runs and the Qalandars were bundled out for 154 in the 17th over. They have lost their sixth game in the tournament and sink further in the competition.
The Sultans are sitting pretty at the top of the table with this win.
