Fighters CC have registered a huge win in their last group encounter and have handed Ronin CC their ninth consecutive defeat to end their season on a real low.
152 was always going to be a big ask for Ronin CC but they really gave it a go in the first half of this run chase. They did not get off to an ideal start losing two wickets in two overs but their skipper, Navendu Sinha, took things in his own hands and powered his team to 68/2 at the halfway stage.
Things looked interesting at that stage but as soon as Sinha was dismissed it all went downhill for Ronin CC as the bowlers were able to put on a choke. They did not allow any further partnerships and to be fair the batters that followed looked like they lacked quality.
Every bowler who bowled got into the wickets column for Fighters CC with Parminder taking 2 wickets and bowling a really misery spell.
All of this, though, was set up by the batters of Fighters CC. A lot of credit needs to be given to Muhmmad Bilal who scored a brisk half-century. His knock along with the brilliant opening partnership between Parminder and Parwinder as well as a valuable cameo from Sahota ensured that Fighters CC got to an above par score against a Ronin CC lineup who were no match for them.

9.6 Lalit Kumar to Prabh Cheema, last ball of the day. On a length. Cheema moves a step to the leg side to give himself room. Misses the ball altogether as he tries to drive it through the covers.
9.5 Lalit Kumar to Prabh Cheema, full and wide. Prabh Cheema tries to drag it to the on side and misses.
9.4 Lalit Kumar to Prabh Cheema, FOUR!!! Clears his front leg and heaves this one to midwicket. It rockets away past a fielder in the circle who missed it and blamed it on the sun falling in his eyes.
9.3 Lalit Kumar to Bipin Thapa, connects this time. But only to send it down to long on and pick up a single.
9.2 Lalit Kumar to Bipin Thapa, steps out again and makes connection with only air as the ball whistles past his outside edge.
9.1 Lalit Kumar to Bipin Thapa, steps out and misses the full toss angling away.
We're into the last over and the result is already decided here, this will also be the last over for Ronin CC in this tournament as this is their last match. Can they go out with a few big hits?
