Match summary:
Fighters CC win by 6 wickets with 15 balls to spare
It took them quite a while to get to their target, but the Fighters CC creep past the finish line eventually. They had their fair share of hiccups though - a win seemed a touch distant once they lost four wickets, and one of those wickets came along in a maiden over. But the duo of Rahul and Muhammad Bilal saw them get past the line with plenty of time to spare.
They did make a belated effort to get that bonus point, but there was too much to do for Bilal. The Fighters CC began sedately, but a couple of blows from Varinder Virk made things interesting the next over. Virk perished right after, though, and then, there was a middle-order collapse of sorts. Harjot Sahota clubbed a couple as well, and all that ensured the Fighters CC were safe even after the brief collapse.
7.3 Abujar Liton to Muhammad Bilal, FOUR! Bilal finishes it off with a boundary. On a fullish-length a shade outside off, an ugly hoick across the line, ends up getting a top edge which trickles away to the third man fence.
7.2 Abujar Liton to Rahul, back of a length delivery outside off, Rahul slashes at that and the deep cover-point fielder drops it.
7.1 Abujar Liton to Muhammad Bilal, swings away the fuller one around middle, towards the midwicket region for a single.
They don't get the bonus point, but the Fighters CC inch very close to a win. They'll sure be content with the three points.
